"The Russian made the fatal error of trying to go over the top of me as we passed head-on...I just pulled back and filled his belly with .50 cal. He caught fire, rolled over and went in. The gun cameras malfucntioned, but my wingman and I both saw him go in."

Joe was one of a few fellas that was included in 1950's "Time Magazine Man of the Year" "America's Fighting Men"
